Help creating a packing list

Your Packing List is an inventory of the contents of your consignment. It includes information required for international customs, such as the size and number of your parcels, and an itemised breakdown of your consignment contents.

We will automatically generate your Packing List when you place your order, based on the information you provide. Below (under the video) is a standard Packing List template – hover over the fields for more details about the information required.

Barcode The barcode is used to identify your order at various stages of its journey, including check-in at the depot. It is also used to update your tracking information.

Delivery AddressThe address your consignment is being delivered to. Contact details are required for the receiver so that customs can get in touch if necessary, as the receiver will usually be the one to pay any customs duties.

EORI & VAT EORI format: GB + 9 digits + 000. For goods shipped from Northern Ireland, you should use a code beginning XI. If you are VAT registered the 9 digits are normally your VAT number. However, you can still have an EORI number without being registered for VAT.

For companies exporting from the EU, a separate EU EORI number is required.

Shipments without a valid EORI number may be held or returned at cost. Check yours here (UK / EU). Your registered EORI address should match the billing address on your Transglobal Express account.

Freight Cost:	Freight Cost The cost of your shipment. This is required for some destinations. If we’re creating a Packing List for you, it will be added automatically.

		Total:	Total Value for Customs The overall consignment value will be the total value of all items in your consignment. This should match the value stated on your Air Waybill.

B) No goods have been added to the consignment by any other person, nor are any goods being carried on behalf of any other person.

C) I have declared all ELECTRICAL ITEMS on the packing list.

The exporter of the products covered by this document (GB############) declares that, except where otherwise clearly indicated, these products are of UK preferential origin.

Country of origin declaration This exact text is required for shipments between the UK and the EU, in order to benefit from the zero tariff arrangement. Without it, you may incur customs fees.

For shipments from the EU, please put your specific country of origin.

For shipments from countries in the EU, you can just put the EU as the origin.
