Asia Pacific air cargo fleet set to tripple by 2032 say Airbus and Boeing

In less than twenty years, the current number of aircraft operating air cargo services in the Asia Pacific region is set to triple according to manufacturers Airbus and Boeing.

Boeing estimates a much increasd  freighter fleet by 2032, forseeing 370 new freighters and 490 conversions. The company estimates that the market will grow by 5.8% per year over the next two decades

Airbus' estimates are more conservative : the French manufacturer anticipates the construction of 270 new freighters, up to 400 conversions and an increase in the proportion of Asia Pacific craft to 30% of all global freighter craft.

It's perhaps no surprise that aircraft manufactuers are predicting increased demand, but the scale of these forecasts surely indicates the general atmosphere of recovery within the air freight sector, as well as the consensus about the direction in which industry is moving.
