DX Group has announced its Freight division expansion.
Expansion plans are underway with the reopening of the East Grinstead depot, situated on Imberhorne Lane and boasting a spacious 14,000 sq. ft area alongside a purpose-built cross dock.
This strategic move is aimed at accommodating the continuous growth of DX Freight 1-Man division, specializing in handling parcel freight, particularly focusing on awkward-to-handle items with irregular dimensions and weight ("IDW").
The depot's revival is expected to provide additional capacity in the region, leading to enhanced operational efficiencies, reduced stem mileage, carbon emissions, and elevated levels of customer service, which remains a pivotal focus for the Group.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Paul Ibbetson, Chief Executive Officer of DX Group, stated, “We are delighted to have reopened the East Grinstead depot. It will provide our Freight operations with greater capacity and increase capability in the area. It also helps to make us more efficient and reduces our stem mileage, which in turn will lower our overall carbon emissions”.
Notably, the DX Freight operation remains a key driver of growth for the Group, with plans for further capital investment throughout the year to bolster this momentum.
